The Weather in Armenia and Greece


Armenia is a mountainous country. 90 % of its territory is located on the altitude of 1000 meters or more above the sea level.
The climate is strictly continental, the winter is relatively cold while the summer is dry and hot. Large amount of solar energy (the average annual solar hours are 2700) and drastic changes of weather are typical for the Armenian climate. In the Ararat Valley the average temperature in July is +25-27C° while in January - 5-7 C°. The best season in Armenia is fall. The average temperature in October is 18-22 C°.
